Rudolf Meak Orinbao

About

Rudolf serves as a trainer, facilitator, and social worker, focusing on training and facilitating malaria cadres in each program intervention village of PERDHAKI. This initiative aims to reduce malaria morbidity rates, working towards malaria elimination by 2030 in the Eastern Region of Indonesia, particularly in the Asmat region of South Papua. A primary challenge in Rudolf's area of work is the lack of public awareness regarding the dangers of malaria. Recognizing this issue, Rudolf believes in the importance of continuous education to enhance public awareness and promote malaria prevention.

Since joining in 2020, Rudolf has taken the initiative to establish study or discussion 'diskusi kampung' groups in each village. These groups aim to support educational efforts, enriching the community's understanding and knowledge. This initiative has been viewed positively by the organization, enhancing its performance. Consequently, in 2022, the 'diskusi kampung' activity encreasingly expanded and integrated as one of the main programs in Asmat by the organization.

Rudolf holds a degree in Computers from Duta Wacana Christian University, Yogyakarta, graduating in 2019. With approximately 4 years of experience as a trainer and facilitator, he is deeply committed to engaging directly with the community. Rudolf sees this involvement as a form of self-development, shaping his perspective on social life.

Participating in this INSPIRASI program allows Rudolf to understand and study health problems, particularly endemic diseases, from the perspective of indigenous peoples, contributing to more effective health interventions.
