INSPIRASI Alum Niko Leads First Papua Indigenous Youth Conference

INSPIRASI 2020 alum Nikolas Imbiri played a key role in organizing the First Papua Indigenous Youth Conference (K1-PAP 2025), held on 7–9 August in Sentani. The event brought together over 218 youth delegates from seven customary regions across Papua to discuss critical issues of human rights, environment, education, and the local economy.

The conference concluded with the historic declaration of the Papua Indigenous Youth Council, setting a roadmap for unity and collective action to safeguard the people, land, and natural resources of Papua. Niko was also elected Secretary-General of the council for 2025–2028, marking an important milestone in youth-led indigenous leadership.
