“Tada Ai”(Traditional healing)

“This book is important to increase public understanding that women have a role no less important than men. Through this project, women are given free space to share their knowledge and skills.”

The goal of the project is to improve access to Tada ai (Traditional Healing) by protect the environment and the native plants through preservation and promotion the local knowledge about health concepts.

Yuli is an alumni of the Faculty of Theology, Artha Wacana Christian University, Kupang. After graduating from college in 2016, she worked as a volunteer at the East Indonesia Women's Network (JPIT) and in early 2020 as Head of the JPIT Research and Development Unit. Together with JPIT friends, Yuli provides litigation and non-litigation assistance to victims of human trafficking and their families. These assistances include legal assistance, psychology, health, and economic empowerment.

Diana, lives in Sumba as a researcher while continuing to develop her weaving skills. She is interested in social sciences, literature, culture, and gender equality. Active in volunteer activities with several communities in Sumba. Currently, Diana works at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) - Indonesia. Diana spends her spare time drawing illustrations for Sumbanese children's books in local contexts; providing gender literacy in several youth groups and the general public; and share with young people about how to write literature.
