Sorabut Melanesia Represents Asia-Pacific Voices at the Rainforest Conference in Berlin
Sorabut Melanesia (Melan), INSPIRASI alum 2020, recently represented Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region at the Rainforest Conference held in Berlin, Germany, on 20–22 October 2025. The international gathering, initiated by Misereor, Westpapua-Netzwerk, and the Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP), brought together participants from the world’s three major rainforest regions, the Amazon Basin (Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia), the Congo Basin (Democratic Republic of Congo), and Asia (including Thailand, Kalimantan, and Papua).
INSPIRASI Alum Niko Leads First Papua Indigenous Youth Conference
INSPIRASI 2020 alum Nikolas Imbiri played a key role in organizing the First Papua Indigenous Youth Conference (K1-PAP 2025), held on 7–9 August in Sentani. The event brought together over 218 youth delegates from seven customary regions across Papua to discuss critical issues of human rights, environment, education, and the local economy.
School of Earth 2.0: Young Ocean Change Makers Movement
A group of high schools in coastal Lombok is proving that change can start in the classroom and ripple out to the ocean. Through the School of Earth 2.0: Ocean Changemakers Movement, teachers and students are taking waste education into their own hands, transforming habits and protecting their coasts.

Shaping Inclusive Futures: Yakob Osingmahi’s Work in Kupang
Kupang, 21–23 August 2025 – As part of his Action Project, Yakob Osingmahi, an INSPIRASI 2024 alum, together with his team, facilitated a three-day training for teachers at SD Inpres Lasiana, Kupang. This initiative builds on Yakob’s earlier work in identifying the challenges educators face when teaching children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, in the classroom.
Book Launch HANAF: Breaking the Silent Conspiracy of Women Domestic Workers
September 10, 2025, marked a significant milestone for Perkumpulan Hanaf Perempuan Flobamoratas (PHPF), or the Flobamoratas Women Hanaf Network, with the publication of its first book, HANAF: Breaking the Silent Conspiracy of Women Domestic Workers. The book is the result of five years of documenting eleven life stories of women domestic workers from East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), during which we overcame numerous challenges throughout the process.
